The winners are selected based on documented performance across three objective criteria: growth (EGI), feed efficiency (EFI), and survival rate.
For Hofseth, the recognition reflects dedicated efforts throughout the entire valuechain — from biological follow-up and planning to daily operations at the site and close collaboration with the feeding center.
“These results confirm that systematic work over time delivers impact. High survival, strong growth, and efficient feed utilization are essential for fish welfare, sustainability, and profitable operations,” says Roar Søvik, Head of the Growth Center at Hofseth.

“EWOS VINNi Vest” has been held since 1988, and this year’s ceremony marked the 37th edition. In addition to Hofseth, Eide Fjordbruk, Nordfjord Laks, and Lerøy Sjøtroll won in their respective categories.
For Hofseth, achievements like this represent important milestones in the ongoing work to further develop a robust and responsible aquaculture operation, with clear ambitions for future growth.
