Hofseth’s investment in closed sea-based systems is now moving from planning to construction. The first molds for five closed facilities for salmon production, to be deployed in Storfjorden, are currently being manufactured in Måløy.
Hofseth has today achieved a transformational refinancing of its capital structure through the issuance of a EUR 300 million 1st lien senior secured green bond with a 5-year tenor (the "New Bonds") to institutional investors.
In Hjørungavåg, just outside Hareid, construction of the Havliljen is well underway. This is an entirely new concept for submersible aquaculture technology, developed to ensure better fish welfare and more efficient production.
In March, Hofseth reached a major milestone by releasing the first trout into a submersible cage at Bugane in Storfjorden. This marks the beginning of a new chapter in sustainable aquaculture, as the company becomes the first to test this technology specifically on trout.
On May 22, Hofseth commenced production at the Ålesund Harvest Plant following an extensive renovation. With an investment of 135 million NOK, the facility has doubled its capacity, strengthening its ability to process larger volumes of fish.
Twice a year, Hofseth awards sponsorship funds to local initiatives in the areas where we operate. This spring, we distributed new funds after receiving many applications from engaged local organisations.

There has been a significant milestone in the closed cage aquaculture venture called Egget, with a successful harvest of the first batch of fish. Hofseth aims to lead the development of sustainable aquaculture, and is working towards growth in more closed systems.
Atlanterhavsparken's visitor center continues to attract visitors eager to deepen their understanding of the aquaculture industry. Last year, the center welcomed a total of 192,000 visitors.
